How to solve IDPs' problems - Gorenie lawyers trained officials
How to solve social and legal problems of IDPs was what Dnipro region officials learned during the two-day seminar. It was conducted by lawyers of Ukrainian Charitable Foundation Gorenie with the Council of Europe support.
More than 60 participants came to get practical knowledge. Representatives of the centers of social services for family, children, and youth, as well as employees of the Dnipro City Council administration of the ATO, were among the guests.
Gorenie coaches gave solid pieces of advice for social and legal problems of IDPs solving. They explain how to improve refugees living in new places.
At the seminar, officials learned to work out efficient mechanisms for IDPs problems resolving. UCF Gorenie lawyer Artem Fomenko gave the best practices of foundation work.
The event was held within the framework of the Council of Europe project 'Strengthening the Human Rights Protection of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine.' It's not the first event that UCF Gorenie provides for officials. During 2017 Foundation conducted 12 seminars in 5 regions, which were attended by more than 200 members in total. Interaction with the authorities to set up poorly protected population assistance is one of the Gorenie Foundation priorities.
