Our history

Pavlograd City Charitable Foundation "Gorenie" was established in October 2005 as a local charitable organization. The higher governing body of Foundation is the General Meeting of the members of Foundation. Between the General Meeting, management of organization is carried out by the Board of Directors. The president of the Foundation performs the operational management of organization.
Since establishment the main direction of activity of organization was human rights. The main focus was made on anti-corruption activities, development and adoption of local lobbying of legal acts, programs to protect the rights of minorities and development tolerant attitude to socially vulnerable population groups.
Since 2010, the Foundation "Gorenie" joined to the network of "Centre of legal information and consultation" and started programs devoted to legal defense disadvantaged populations and providing a full cycle of legal aid - from initial consultation to support cases in various courts. The main focus in the legal activity except helping disadvantaged populations, is implementing projects to combat trafficking, combating domestic violence and monitoring projects aimed at increasing the transparency of using budget funds and transparency in procurement of works, goods and services, which are financed from the budget.
At the same time, it was launched legal support of community initiatives and legal support for 105 condominium of Pavlograd town. A full range of legal support was also provided in this area. Fund "Gorenie" acted as the resource center, provided legal assistance, information support and accumulated best practices to solve urgent local issues.
Since July 2014 the organization started to help internally displaced persons. Foundation "Gorenie" concluded a cooperation agreement with the charity foundation "Dopomoga Dnipra" which help migrants at the Dnipropetrovsk region and became “Gorenie” partner in providing legal assistance to displaced persons.
In August 2014 some changes occurred in the organization. Considering the necessity of performing activities in other regions, the general meeting of the members of Foundation made decision to make changes to the Statute of the Legal Entity, which removed possible restrictions on the territorial activities of the Foundation and changed its name to "Charitable organization “All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation "Gorenie".
In September 2014 ACF "GORENIE" initiated the development of the regional program to provide social support to citizens who migrated to Dnipropetrovsk region from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and districts of the antiterrorist operation in 2014 - 2016. The developed program was approved by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Rada and ACF "GORENIE" was defined the main organization that provides legal aid to displaced persons at the Dnipropetrovsk region.
23 January, 2015 Dnipropetrovsk Regional Rada approved the program of creation the workplaces for people who migrated to Dnipropetrovsk region from the temporarily occupied territory and areas of the antiterrorist operation in 2015 – 2016. In the creation of this program ACF "GORENIE" participated.
ACF "GORENIE" was defined as one of the executors of the program, whose responsibilities including implementation in Dnipropetrovsk region trainings and development of the programs for internally displaced persons, including trainings on legal issues related on secure employment, conducting seminars with participation of leading specialists from different fields.
6 February, 2015 ACF "GORENIE", considering the amount of displaced persons applying for legal assistance, was opened UNICEF and the Centre for legal information and consultation in Dnipropetrovsk and temporary office in Kruvuy Rig, organized mobile teams of lawyers working in local communities of Dnepropetrovsk region who have been giving consultations to the huge number of internally displaced persons.
Ukrainian Charitable Foundation "GORENIE" began creating the Legal Network Partnership, the purpose of which is to join efforts in the implementation of common activities aimed at protecting the rights of poor people. At this time, organizations of human rights in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytsky and Kyiv regions have joined the network.
ACF "GORENIE" is the partner of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Rada, employment center of Dnipropetrovsk regional, the Department of Justice in the Dnipropetrovsk region and other government and non-commercial organizations.
ACF "GORENIE" is a partner of UNHCR, the implementing partner of Danish Refugee Council and the Danish Demining Group and the implementing partner of the International Organization for Migration.
ACF "GORENIE" activities are supported by the International Foundation "Renaissance". Different projects are financed by the US Agency of International Development (USAID), the US Embassy in Ukraine, European Commission in Ukraine.
